• Driving hours: 2 hours (one way)
Hiking hours:1.5 hours mountain trail and 2-2.5 hours wild section of the Great Wall climbing, which is moderate level, with two parts of steep stairs.
    Level of difficulties: 3.5

The hike starts from an obscure village in a valley, where the stacks of hay in front of the old houses made of rocks. Local residents still use wood and wheat stalks to build fires and cook. We will climb up along the dirt path behind the village up to the great wall wreck, then more and more complete great wall when we get higher. We pass peaceful woods two times, only birds and insects chirping. You will get a bird-eye view of peaks and suburbs of Beijing. The whole climbing will be on mild slope except two steep parts (over 50 degree, 5 and 10 minutes climbing respectively).

This is an Qin Dynasty section of the Great Wall, supposedly the highest in Beijing in altitude. The rock wall was renovated in Ming Dynasty with added bricks. It looks awesome winding along the soaring ridge.

Meet at the China Culture Center to board the coach.
